Ally McCoist can’t stop laughing as he reacts to claims England and Rangers legend Paul Gascoigne has signed up for Italian I’m A Celeb
Ally McCoist has told talkSPORT he wants to move to Italy, after hearing reports that Paul Gascoigne has signed up for the Italian version of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!
The Rangers legend could barely stop laughing as he was told about the claims on Monday’s talkSPORT Breakfast, admitting his old pal and ex-teammate is ‘scared of EVERYTHING’.
Gazza is said to have agreed to be part of the Italian version of the hit show, Isola de Famosi – Island of the Famous – which could see the England and Ibrox icon potentially spend TWO MONTHS in the Honduran jungle in Central America.
The 53-year-old, who played for Serie A club Lazio in the 1990s, has reportedly undergone extensive mental and physical tests to ensure he can cope with the series.
Ally is really hoping the claims are true, saying he’ll be brilliant on the show – whether he’s there for the long haul or bails after just a few days.
So much so, that Ally now wants to move to Italy just so he can watch it!
He just feels sorry for the locals if the Gazza whirlwind comes to town…
McCoist said on Monday morning, as he gasped for breath between long bursts of hysterical laughter: “He’ll either be on the first plane home after 24 hours… or he’ll win it!
“It’s as simple as that, they’ll be no grey area!”
Asked if the England icon has any fears, McCoist immediately replied: “Aye! He’s scared of everything!
“He’s terrified of everything hahahaha!
“I tell you what we need to do now, we need to move to Genoa or something, because we have got to see this. We have GOT to see this!
“Can you imagine it? Hahahahaha!
“Honduras won’t know what’s hit it! I’m telling you right now, they’ll be a mass exodus of Hondurans. They’ll be leaving Central America as we speak!
“They’ll be picking up the Honduran Gazette this morning going, ‘oh no, I’m outta here!’
